This tour was organized to provide soldiers with the opportunity to experience Yangju City’s history and culture firsthand, and to strengthen communication and cooperation between the local community and the military.
The soldiers, departing from their base, visited the Jang Ukjin and Min Bokjin City Art Museums and the tomb of General Gwon Yul, where they engaged with local art and history. They also toured the Hoeamsaji City Museum and historical sites.
One participating soldier shared, “I discovered new interests at the art museums and historical sites, which I had not paid much attention to before. This tour became an opportunity to broaden my cultural experiences.”
An official from Yangju City stated, “We will continue to provide cultural exploration opportunities for soldiers to promote Yangju City’s history, boost morale among the troops, and enhance mutual understanding with the local community.”
